Due to an exciting period of growth they are seeking to appoint a Head of Quality - Composites Aerostructures

Job Title: Head of Quality - Composites Aerostructures

Responsible to: Chief Operating Officer

Place of Posting: Bangalore

Duration: Minimum 2 Year Term

Purpose of job:

Create overall company quality goals and company strategy to achieve the set deliverables .

Deployment of Quality systems and quality verification in all aspects of operation. Develop quality capability in production system and the quality team.

Major Deliverables:

• Direct successful execution of quality systems.
• Review requirements of new/current processes, establish policies and procedures based on ISO 9001, AS 9100, NADCAP, DGCQA and other standards including customer specific requirements.
• Provide training and certification for all employees and processes.
• Drive robust internal audit system. Review quality process in shop and improve the efficacy to result in reduction of scrap and rework.
• Review regularly cause of variations and provide guideline and hands on process support for shop to improve product.

Job Dimensions:

• Quality management system deployment, Training and control, Co- ordination with agencies like AS, NADCAP, DGCQA etc. Team building, Quality assurance and control.

Function / Domain:

• Quality management system, Process control, Quality assurance, Training

Desirable Attributes:

• Strong technical/ leadership qualities and effective team-management abilities.
• Proven ability to co ordinate with technical staff, including the ability to encourage innovation and support professional development.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and create strong working relationships in a diverse cross-cultural environment.
• Experience of Asian-Pacific geographies will be advantage.
• Defines, grows, and maintains core competencies in quality function including problem-solving, decision-making, organizational development, and execution skills.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering and with proven experience in quality function.

Desired Experience Level:

• 15+ years in Aerostructure company with reputation of strong quality systems and processes
